Nintendo has announced couple of DS Lite peripherals, bundles and more, among which an interesting microphone/headphone set designed for games supporting VoIP such as Metroid Prime and upcoming Pokemon Pearl and Diamond. This gadget will be available in Japan in September 14th and will cost 1,200 Yen (approx. $10).

The upcoming releases included DS Lite Jet Black arriving in Japan on September 2nd, which will later, Sempteber 21st, retail in a bundle with Winning Eleven DS, and the limited edition of Final Fantasy III DS bundles, including the game and a DS with unique design, debuing in August 24th.



According to the speculative part of ComputerAndVideoGames.com article, the announciation of mic/headphone set might mean that we can expect similar chat and other services as the Xbox 360 for Wii. Wait and see.
