The Pirate Bay gives Hollywood another slap in the face

In celebration of the release of "The Simpsons Movie", the infamous torrent tracker The Pirate Bay has created a temporary new logo as well as t-shirt design. As a slap in Hollywood's face, the homepage logo of TPB links you to a search string that shows many hits for pirated camcorded versions od the Simpsons Movie.

As one of the admins, Brokep writes, “The beloved movie we’ve all been waiting for is out. So to celebrate we did a new logo and t-shirt in honor of this great show.. I guess you all know what show I’m talking about!”



TPB has even temporarily renamed itself "Evergreen Bay", based off the Simpson's home address on Evergreen Terrace. In the past, TPB has been well known for rebranding their site, most recently when the leak of the latest Harry Potter book hit its site.

For those who miss it, here is the picture, with the admins drawn as if they were Simpsons characters.

  Hahaha thats to damn funny. I bet they pissing their pants trying to figure out a new strategy to take down the TPB. I cant wait for the news article on that. Should be interesting.

  So many people were checking vcdq.com today for info on Simpsons releases that it was crashing the site, I never saw that before. The internet is going ape shit for this release. Good thing too, FOX doesn’t deserve any money.

  I don't understand...this movie is highly pirated yet it was the #1 movie in America with something near $71 million in box office revenue. I was told that companies couldn't make huge profits if their stuff is pirated. I feel so lied to.

It is in their industry's favor for people to like to watch movies. What if all of us movie watchers suddenly decided we would rather read books? The whole movie industry would be history.
