Fox to premiere K-Ville online first
The Fox police drama was available online before it's broadcast premier in September.

It's available without commercials for a limited time on the Fox, AOL, Yahoo, TV Guide, and IGN websites. Those portals are all involved with the still unnamed venture by NBC Universal and Fox owner News Corp.

TV shows offered for Streaming online directly from television networks are becoming fairly common, but this is the first time a major series premiere has gotten a preview this way.

Earlier this summer, though, several fall television pilots were leaked to P2P networks.

So, let me get this straight:

1 People downloading shows early hurts the networks.
2 People downloading shows in general hurts the networks.
3 People watching shows online decreases total viewership.

Am I missing something by them releasing this early online? They already complain enough that shows on YouTube and the other sites do not amount to more viewers during peak hours.

The fact of the matter is that people like watching new shows however they do not want all the games that come with the new shows. The ads that are loaded with the shows are wasting peoples time and getting these new shows without ads are a good thing however i just hope these shows are worth it.
