South Park goes digital, and for free
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of the hit show South Park have announced the launch of a website that streams every episode of South Park ever created, and for free.

The site, South Park Digital Studios will include every episode, 3,000 video clips and an avatar creator. There were also be a dozen "Flash, Shockwave and Java powered mini games" as well as a retail store and download section for wallpapers and the like.

The site, SouthParkStudios.com, comes as part of the creators latest contract with Comedy Central, the cable network which broadcasts the show. Stone and Parker agreed to write three more seasons and Comedy Central will financially back the site. Parker and Stone also have equal partnership in the new digital venture.

“Three more years of South Park will give us the opportunity to offend that many more people,”
Stone announced in a prepared statement. “And since Trey and I are in charge of the digital side of South Park, we can offend people on their cellphones, game consoles, and computers too. It's all very exciting for us.”

The episodes will each have 3 or 4 small advertisements throughout the show, but that is a small price to pay for free episodes whenever you want them.

Going into my iphone! I've never seen every single edisode, this is awesome. I like The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama (canceled but dvds are for sale); getting them free unlike the others, I'll take that anyday. You know what I would like to have on dvd? "2 Stupid Dogs". Hanna-Barbara should put out all of their productions on dvds they are just rotting in the vaults.

    Yeah.
    Hmmm.
Well, I guess this would be good news if the show was still funny.
    But it's not.
Family Guy isn't funny anymore, either.
    They went topical and political.
I can get that crap anywhere.
Family Guy was about baby boomers and their cultural icons.
Right around Blue Harvest, which didn't have a single laugh in it, Seth started pandering to his loony Hollywood friends and flipped off his faithful audience.
    Sad.

this site already exists, obviously everyone here has not heard of http://www.allsp.com

it has every episode of southpark on it, well it links to dailymotion actually but it shows the flv in a flash window in allsp.com. its totally illegal but it has been operating for a few years because trey and matt actually "get it" and have love for the techies and probably tell viacom to leave allsp.com alone.

its nice, anytime i need an episode for my phone i just hop on allsp.com, "download" the episode, snag it out of my temp internet files, and convert the flv to 3gp for my phone. whole process takes like 3 minutes, its awesome.

    These guys are pure genius
I am glad to see the appreciate their fans
I wonder how long they had to brow beat Comedy Central into giving away something for free? Probably make it up in advertising anyway.
I did miss the first show of this season!
