LOL, that's gotta make Microsoft wonder wtf! as to why their console didn't get the expected boost. My call would be for Microsoft to stop puzzyfootin around and drop the damn price on all SKU's and stop playing these discontinued games. I mean the system is about 3 years old. They need to get the Elite @ the $299 price and the premium at the $199 price and drop the arcade from the lineup.

i say WTF, i own every system except the ps2 on that list and why the hell dose the wii keep selling? its NOT a good system. The motion is pretty cool i'll agree but the games are garbage. The DS is sorry if i offend anyone, a girl system. The xbox 360 is by far the best system with the library they have, the ps3 is good too but the exclusives suck for it except for uncharted, and the psp is pretty cool, but most games arent anything special. People need to stop looking atr the wii price and the ds price and get a real hard core system. Nintendo is banking on the casual gamer and its sad because the wii has such good potential but the price is so cheap that people overlook the xbox or ps3. trust me, pay the extra $100 or so and get a real system. nintendos gimmiced wii will end sooner or later and people will regret buying it like myself and many of my friends. NINTENDO if your listening, stop allowing all these stupid party games being made and make some real good games for the harder core audience, then i wont be as offended that your No1. Give me a reason to buy a game.

Whats the point in suggesting the top selling system should change its marketing, hardcore gamers have two systems Nintendo will leave the Wii to do its own thing, its sales show its clearly well liked.

People seem to get too worked up about it and its long list of shovelware, just don't buy the crap games and you'll be OK.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 are both superior machines but don't appeal to many people with young kids as the games are too in depth and lack pick up and play ability of Mario Kart and Smash Bros whose graphics are acceptable to all but the most fussy.

Nintendo have one market and the Sony and Microsoft share the other, thats why they sell less beacause they are in direct competition whereas Nintendo has the field to themselves.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but outside of a handful of games, I really do enjoy the Wii. There is a TON of crapware for it, but I suspect the educated gamer is not buying it anyway, so why complain! There are plenty of A+ exclusives, which, do not take a year to learn how to play, such as Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Smash Bros., Boom Blox, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Zelda, Metroid, etc. Hell, even the new NCAA, though not the shiniest graphically, has made the game FUN to play. Yes, it's a gimmick, but I can't remember having that type of arcade-style fun with a sim sports game, well, ever!

As for the DS, it's a very strong system and also heavily pirated for, hence the popularity. It does cater to small children and I haven't found a game I particularly like for it in the last few months, but that will changed heading into the holidays. There are alot of good titles, even with online play, such as Mario Kart, Tetris, New Super Mario Bros., Zelda, Contra, etc.

Do you see a pattern here? Nintendo knows what they are doing. The 360 has had its issues and has been overpriced for too long, and has too many SKUS. Sony is trying to correct the same issues, but is late to the game in that regard, especially with the different launch systems and now the Dual-Shock being reintroduced.

MS is too busy trying to balance the 360 lineup with Games For Windows, which IMHO, hurts their sales. We all know games like Gears of War end up on PC after awhile, so why buy a 360? However, Metal Gear and Mario stay on the big screen, so which are you more inclined to buy?

I'm glad that Nintendo is doing great. I dont own any of these systems besides PSP, because I simply dont have the time to play them, but since last generation, I had PS2, Xbox and Gamecube, I was hardcore back then. For those ppl who posted that Wii sucks or whatever the games sucks, i dont know, i totally disagree with that. What is the hardcore games you talking about? Halo? Grand Theft? Metal Gear? yeah, they are great games, but do you ever think about what Nintendo is trying to do? They trying to bring ANYONE to play their games, specially parents can enjoy the games with their kids, they are bringing in a better communication under the house. Yeah, Xbox 360 can communicate with ppl and so can PS3 but so what? you cant be expecting your parents playing Halo with you can you? This is not just about the pricing either, all the consoles have their own specialties, PS3 have blue ray (personally i would buy just because of it) and Xbox have a great online games and Wii is just a great family game and a great work out. I like all systems, because each have their unique feature, dont hate Nintendo just because they have better market, figure out what they are really trying to do, but i think they deserve to be the best out there right now.

btw, those who said the Nintendo Game sucks, have you ever even play Smash Bro, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Boom Blox, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Zelda, Metroid? I can tell you that Smash bro, Mario kart and Zelda are the best games I played when I was over at my friend's place, the graphics are decent it dont have to be AWSOME like 360 or PS3.

DS also have great games also, and yet those games such as Brain age it actually helps your brain function properly instead of just kill kill kill, think for once is always a good change. Guitar Hero for DS is kick ass game too, who would of thought they can make an attachment buttons to the DS? They just know how to attract ppl and make a better market for themselves, they are smart while others just want to advance their graphics.

FYI to the WII haters, it goes beyond casual gaming that's now known as hardcore gaming it goes to gaming beyond casual gaming, IE non gamers add in the price it can quickly saturate the world wide market.

fail60 is still fail60 and will remain so until they drop the premium price to 200$.

PS3 is doing well because it was built better than the 360, a focus on better hardware is never a bad thing.

I have one of the fastest comp systems you could build for gaming BUT nothing I can play on it compares to playing legos indiana jones with my 5 yr old son. Instead of me shooing him away so i can play a game we have fun together. If you had kids you might understand this IS nintendos strategy. AND I might add that it is paying off quite well for them.
