Hulu coming to Xbox 360?

Hulu coming to Xbox 360?
According to an interview with the NYTimes, Microsoft's Shane Kim seems to suggest a deal with Hulu may be in the works that will allow Xbox 360 owners to use the excellent video streaming service.

Their deal with Netflix, the company's first streaming partner, is "just beginning to scratch the surface.” Kim also noted that they were looking to add a music service as well. (Most likely Zune, but you never know)

The interview, paraphrased says, "He argued that while there may be hundreds of video sites, most of the activity is concentrating on a handful of sites like Hulu and YouTube. So his first instinct is cut a handful of deals that integrate the Xbox more deeply into such sites."

A deal would make great sense for both parties. Hulu would gain audience and advertising revenue and Microsoft would be able to turn their console into a very formidable video streaming hub.

Obviously there could be no deal at all in the works. We will keep you updated.

Maybe then you should consider the failure rate for them? I'm on my fourth one and RARELY play it.

yes it my be all we and good but only for the US. Hulu dus not work in the Britain and Europe and many other countries.

if Microsoft expect to gene ground then they need to thing about people outside of the Sataes.

This would be nice for 360 owners. It's one of my favorite things on my ps3 ever since the flash player was updated.

Just use/buy PlayOn! and you can use Hulu, Youtube etc. on your 360 while getting Netflix for your PS3 as well. Granted you have to pay for the PlayOn! software but at least it is works & is available right now; not a "probable maybe" from M$.

Funny thing is, I already use HULU, YouTube...on the original XBOX. They want to implement that on the 360, wonder where do they get their "brilliant" ideas from:)!

Why is people feel the need to mock the idea? If you like it its a plus and if not then dont stress. Its like if the ps3 added a banana peeler function. I wouldnt be like thats so dumb why didnt they relases an apple peeler? Especially if i didnt own that product. Shares the same line of thinking as me bashing a T.V for not having a feature cool or not that i do or dont have. What does it matter?

Not sure who's mocking the idea1 :) From all the replays that I have read, it seems that everyone is embracing it and see it as a good addition to the 360!

There is much more to the software plus as of right now this is only rumors that MS will add these types of features.

Why don't they just integrate A web browser with a Plugin manager.

The Xbox team is always running around in circles trying to catch up, there tail seemingly eludes them time after time.

They already have that, is called a "PC":)! What's next, balance the checkbook and do taxes on your gaming/media console?

Agreed they do need to add a web browser. They are the ones the most involoved in the computer world so youd figure they wouldve been first

I hate being restricted by Hulu. I would rather way TV channels around the world and movies in 1080p Blu-ray on my PC and set top box on MyTVPAL ( www.mytvpal.com ) that's made using Matrixstream ( www.matrixstream.com ) IPTV platform.

In case anyone actually paid any attention to his post … I guess Michael Dunn gets a kickback from Matrixstream and mytvpal. I’m sure he’s not biased at all.
