ok, im a hard core gamer and very interested in the gaming industrie, how can you say the quality is poor? 2008 was fantastic, as was 2007. 2009 looks to be great also. There are at least 10-15 games last year that blew me away.

There are at least 10-15 games last year that blew me away.Since 03 or so level design has shifted to simplistic layouts which has devastated FPSs, game play has not evolved much but for the rare game sure you can do more with physics but that's dose not help a game that's under developed and unfinished.

The only thing that's gone steadily up is cost for the devs and costumer and graphics, gameplay has not improved much at all look at FO3 and BS begin under deved and and unfinished, sure they are above average compared to today's titles but of titles made around 8+ years ago they are average... and don't even get me started on Jrpgs...bland MMO wanna be clones blharrggg!

You might like the slop that's served and enjoy paying a premium for it, I and others do not.

"the sales increased due to piracy!"

lol imagine if a company were to ever utter those words, even if it was true.
