China blocks YouTube, again

China blocks YouTube, again
Just as they did last March, the Chinese government has blocked YouTube access without explanation.

"We don't know the reason for the blockage," said Scott Rubin, a spokesman for Google, who then added that China had blocked the site as of 5:30 p.m. pacific standard time today.

Although the government did not give an explanation, the most obvious reason is the fact that a video went up on March 20th that showed Tibetan prisoners being beaten by Chinese policemen. It also shows a man having a nail driven through his foot after he tried to help one of the innocent monks.

A Chinese government official added, "We encourage the active use of the Internet, but also manage the Internet according to law."

We will keep you updated.

Quote:A Chinese government official added, "We encourage the active use of the Internet, but also manage the Internet according to law."The Chinese are very good at management along with:

lining a wall with your own people in a matter of seconds.

testing biological weapons on your own people.

making sure your military strength is at full capacity(every Chinese Man)

using sweat shops to Manufacture goods because all your money goes to the Government aka military.

scaring your own people, kids even have own rhyme (a nickel a day keeps the big black gun away).

and running your neighbor hood grocery store employee's into the ground while not even hinting a raise till there dead.

oh there good at management too.

Maybe when they unblock them, Youtube should block China! Then what would China do?

Bit they also have the worlds largest standing army.. and nukes to back it up.

Look in your own back yard people.. most governments in the "free" world also think this is a great idea. Once they get away with censoring one website a whole host more will follow.

That's right.. keep your head well and truly buried in the sand until it's too late.
"find a way around" ..hahaha.. ask people in China if they have "found a way around" .. where to do so with all communications monitored leads to your door going in and you being arrested in the small hours...

"Ask not what my country can do for me, instead ask what I can do for my country" .. one of the most quoted statements of all time. What must we do.. we must keep OUR politicians and states from removing our rights in the name of "national security" (a lie).. we must stand up and oppose electronic surveillance and data collection and profiling behind closed doors. Only when our countries are all open and truly democratic.. with every minority and interest equal under the laws and rules of a free and open society, can we then comment on others. We have no right in our increaingly totalitarian and autocratic states to complain or comment about actions taken by the Chinese people.. I saw our police and governments act brutally against Tibetan protestors on our streets. Our governments suck up to the Chinese regime.. only by stopping them acting like this cam we ever hope to change Chinese state attitudes towards freedom and democracy.. The problem is.. to our western leaders eyes.. what goes on in China.. repression and restriction.. looks like a damn fine idea.

Our "free" states are moving down this road.. I have said it before.. I have been saying it for years in the face of the "new thinkers" who use "newspeak"

"who controls the present controls the past"
"who controls the past controls the future"

Most of our media is state approved. There was a very interesting news item about some government cover up and a conspiracy to conduct illegal arms deals with an African state.. the one in which the UN have used the word "genocide" to describe the happenings .. Most interesting.. when it came to the report from the journalist concerned.. there was a split second break in transmission from the news room.. and then apparently a technical fault preventing the broadcast. It was never mentioned again.. The item had been removed fr4om the later and longer news. State censorship or technical problem?.. you tell me. I know which way I think it was.

I see shadows of Goldstein in the constant ranting from the western powers about Bin Laden .. "be afraid and hate the enemy" .. errr.. what enemy? .. you mean that invented enemy put in place to justify illegal wars and massive armaments spending.. That enemy put in place to get us to give up our rights, our privacy and our freedoms through our fear of the same "enemy"? Our enemy is within.. the enemies of all free thinking people.. they are the people we elect to "rule over" us. They do not represent us.. they represent the motives of greed and personal power.. to the exclusion of everything else.

When the state of the government deteriorates and have lost every thing who do they turn too the citizens of the united states.

when are presidents are no longer gutless cowards afraid to tell the people the truth.

when the US stops being a pussy, and stops taking it every which way it can from other countries. then we well be the country are fore fathers died for.

until then the people of the states can only wait and pray that when that day comes we still have firearms to uphold are anger.

The full version of the video has been removed by You tube; you tube claims it violates the terms of use. With this, I will not be watching or uploading to YouTube anymore. They have gone too far before, but this is beyond and hint of legality.

Some people feel sorry for the Chinese having to live under such tyranny. I do not. The tyranny is enforced by the military, and the military is staffed by the citizens. If the citizens are willing to go though with atrocities that make this video look like a picnic, then they deserve slavery.

I do fear for my own country as well as many other so-called free nations. The united states has waged a war against it's Hindu population for years; going so far as to criminalize their religious practices and sacraments...and many arrests mirror what was in this Chinese video. We are sliding down a very slippery slope; I wonder how long before the US bans you tube.

No doubt that Chinese government will block Youtube. Cause even I can find so many disgusting fake anti-China videos on youtube. Its not youtube's fault and also it is Chinese government's right to do so.

What do you think about Obama and the Democrats using Homeland Security to effectively mark anyone that disagrees with his policies or generally stands for conservative values as being a terrorist threat?

It seems to me that anybody that complains about any action and then, when in power, uses the same action plus more is the pinnacle of hypocrisy... but, I guess this is different and OK....
