SlySoft has issued another regular update of
AnyDVD HD which improves the
BD+ support, widening the number of titles it can handle. There is still a
list of titles that AnyDVD HD can't handle, but with updates being a monthly or better affair, the software presents the biggest threat to the BD+ protection. BD+ was popular among publishers because of its ability to adapt in the face of new cracks, unlike DVD's Content Scrambling System which was forever broken when first hacked.
Changelog for AnyDVD HD v6.5.4.0
- New (Blu-ray): Added support for new BD+ protections
- New: Added additional information to the logfile
- Fix (DVD): CSS removal did not work with some discs
- Fix: High CPU usage, if tray icon was hidden by Windows
- Fix: Possible crash on program exit
- Some minor fixes and improvements
- Updated languages
This version apparently causes
Avast Anti-virus software to produce a false positive, so it is safe to ignore the threat when prompted about it.
