Apple updates iPod Shuffle 'VoiceOver' software

Apple updates iPod Shuffle 'VoiceOver' software
Apple has announced the release of a firmware update for their recently released iPod Shuffle Voice.

The update should fix a few minor, but noticeable items.

The new 17MB download will install VoiceOver version 1.0.1 and will correct the gross mispronunciations for several artist's names. Apple did not elaborate on what other bugs were fixed.

If you sync with a Mac you get a good sounding voice. If you sync with a PC the voice is terrible. Was that on purpose???

Apple IPod shuffle is the world's smallest music player and now comes in five great colours starting at just NZ$99 inc GST,"said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. "iPod shuffle is so small that you almost forget it's there, yet remarkably, it holds up to 1,000 songs and talks to you.
