YouTube RealTime: Spy on your friends

YouTube RealTime: Spy on your friends
Google Inc.'s YouTube video-sharing service has come up with another new feature for its users. The new "YouTube RealTime" feature makes it possible for a user to check which videos their friends are watching, and when they add comments to videos or upload a new video.

YouTube product manager Ryan Junee wrote on the official YouTube blog about the new feature, describing YouTube Realtime as "a new way of discovering what your friends are doing on YouTube."

The service is not available to all YouTube users just yet, but Junee did say that invitations to try out RealTime will be sent to the first 100 volunteers.

"Please keep in mind that you will need to have friends on YouTube for this to work -- the more you have, the richer the experience, so be sure you accept friend invites and actively manage the list," he wrote.

This thing is just another tool for stalkers, just like Facebook. I deleted my facebook account for purposes like this. I was spending too much time on it before I realized I could be doing better things with my life. Why would anyone want to "follow" their friend on the net, and not just talk with each other and hang-out like a real friend in person. Beats me.

This is just another useless tool to try and raise ones own self esteem, so that they can become "popular" because they have so many friends on the internet...but that's just mine opinion.
    You can count me out.

yuck.. no wonder we call it n00btube.. install our spyware why not.. then wait for some clever hackers using it to sell your info to marketing companies. If my friends want me to see something they are perfectly capable of sending me a link :)

I think it is a brilliant marketing ploy!

More than half the world's population has dirt for brains. They aren't smart enough to understand break throughs in science or the threats of world or local politics. They can understand gossip. That is why gossip magazines out sell all other magazines. They are going to love this, so will stalkers, and especially the hackers. No matter how many safe-guards they put in, the hackers will have a hay-day. If you need to give permission to allow persons to spy on you, hackers can use this as a list of dupes. I have no pity for such morons, so I love the concept!
