'Zune Mobile' phone coming soon?
A new Microsoft job listing has made it clear that the software giant is working on a "Zune Mobile" project.

The Windows Mobile Phone Entertainment team is searching for an engineer that can help develop an interface for the forthcoming Windows mobile phone while integrating Zune features into the popular Windows Mobile platform.

The posting adds: "Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) developing features for the phone that drive the joy and fun of using the device. Everything from Zune Mobile experiences to killer photo capture and sharing experiences to winning application marketplaces showcasing both applications and casual games."

The Zune phone, dubbed "Pink", will use a "800x480 or larger touchscreen, multi-touch support, an accelerometer, electronic compass, digital camera and assisted GPS."

yeah a rumor that will not be true since they have sum phones on the market i love my omnia and despite the the pain-in-the-ass delay they give for not getting flash on my phone to use (still pissed off about that) its versatile which IMO a phone needs. Wheres the upgrade to Opera Mini and Flash Lite when u need it tho - BLUEBOY

Actually if it's anything like Zune it wont come with Communist control of our music...will be a good alternate to the paper weight iphone. Let's face it. The iPhone doesn't do shit. Still I'm looking forward to the day that they release one of those "there's an app for that' commercials where they introduce something worth a shit....

I was getting so excited, until I read the second to last word of the article. :( What, no stand-alone GPS?

They may be a dime short, but they were a day early.

BTW-What do you want the iPhone to do? If you can name something that can be done with the hardware at hand (and without violating any laws) then you should write it. Seems to me like it has every mini-app one could want (and lots of mini-apps that no one wants).
