The price cut will drop the MSRP from JPY 19,800 ($219 USD) to JPY 16,800 ($185 USD), pricing it significantly cheaper than the DS which retails for JPY 18,900 ($209 USD).
The price cut will occur before the release of the PSPgo on November 1st.
There was no word on whether Japan would be the only to see the price reduction.
