Video Daily: Twitter hit by massive phishing attack
Twitter has been hit by a massive phishing attack over the last 24 hours, with users being PMed messages that read "This you???," followed by a link that directs you to a site to login with your Twitter details.

I can tell you this is indeed happening, as I've received two already. If you receive one, tell your friends/family to change their passwords.

and that's the reason why I don't go on sites such as Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook, because of this reason. Don't need by personal info diverted by some geek who does nothing but cause trouble since he obviously doesn't have a life like the rest of us normal folk do.

Can anyone give e a good, sound reason for why anyone normal would want to use twitter? What is it's practical application?...DO some people really have to let everybody know when they're gonna take a dump?

I would LOVE to see Twitter get hacked with a seriously malicious and destructive attack and cause it to shut down for weeks upon weeks.

This is just a teaser for me.

Quote:I thought the net was safe, safe to use your credit card on....I can give you 1 tip to help against keyloggers:

Use Microsoft or Kaspersky virtual keyboard to enter personal credit card #'s, passwords, important information (I'm not advertising for Kaspersky I just don't know if anti-virus programs have it)....
It's a small hassle but well worth it
Make a shortcut on desk for it

Can't log Mouse clicks hehe one for the lil guy vs hackers

I personally hate all the "social" neworks too much information out there for some guy in africa to send you a winning lottery or debot card scam

Now, this is for stock, finance, torrent, tech news and other updates. I could care less that Kim Kardashian just opened her window, and therefore do not follow her, or mostly any celebrities for that matter.

    Twitter SUCKS.

It is a stupid site and useless tool. Who cares what anyone is doing at a particular time of the day. I could care less you just ate at a dinner or you found new stock information.

It's just a tool that little kids use to post about each other boyfriends, girlfriends, and now middle age techs are "using" it for business purposes. Come on really, I think anyone who justifies using Twitter for anything is just in denial. You must not really have a life to follow someone else or your life is really that borning.

I'm a Project Manager/Developer and I have client's who want to post RSS Twitter feeds on their site and can't help to laugh about it and ask myself "why?". Do you think that your really that special that people are going to follow you... well the answer must be yes because with the amount of advertisement you see and how everyone jump on the bandwagon for this people are followers and not leaders.

I give Twitter 2-3 years before it dies in popularity and there will be something new that everyone will promote and it will be the next big thing.

Case in point - Facebook almost died to MySpace and now Facebook is a lot more popular than MySpace and you hardly see any TV show ads saying follow us on MySpace... they always say you can follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
