Valve games headed to Macs

Valve games headed to Macs
As reported last month as a rumor, Valve has today officially confirmed upcoming Mac support for some of developer's most popular games.

Doug Lombardi, Valve's VP of developer marketing says the first two games to be ported will be Portal and Team Fortress 2.

It is still unclear when Mac gamers will be given access to the popular Steam service, but that day is likely soon given the latest news.

The company adds that current Mac hardware is very similar to the hardware used by current PC gamers, with Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs.

VALVE are the most arrogant and self-absorbed d-bags I've ever seen in the gaming industry. Well, maybe "Mr. Kotex" of Activision beats them.

They already had Mac support thanks to bootcamp (apple's solution for the thousands of things that macOS can't do)

They hate developing for the PS3 but they develop for the Mac. Such fanboys.

But maybe the Mac's version of TF2 and Portal will also suck ass similar to the PS3's ports.

I doubt they will be AS bad...just because you have a mouse. It is total BS that the PS3 has built-in mouse and keyboard support, but only one game ever made for it will use them...this is why I did not buy CODMW2 for the PS3.

I'm excited. I always make my Windows partitions too small, and most of my PC games are purchased via Steam.

I wonder if they'll support their entire downloadable catalog or just their in house titles (TF2, L4D, etc)

Unless Macs started Sporting DirectX when i wasnt looking, this would leave Mac owners with a choice of any OpenGL based Game.
