New Dell smartphone dubbed 'Aero'

New Dell smartphone dubbed 'Aero'
Dell, releasing their first smartphone since the death of the Axim line in 2007, has dubbed their upcoming device the Aero.

The smartphone will be available in the U.S. via carrier AT&T.

Without giving a timeline, the carrier says the device will be available "soon."

The Aero will have hardware based on the Dell Mini3 phones sold in China and Brazil and will run Android 1.6 but will have a custom UI designed by Dell with input from AT&T.

Why does AT&T have to eff up all of the phones with their own UI on top of the existing one?
They do the same crap with that Moto Backflip phone.

Is it so wrong to want a simple, Android or WinMob7 phone with the STANDARD UI???

AT&T needs to throw in all their proprietary apps that have been paid for by sponsors.

Yeah, that wouldnt be a problem as much as blocking outside of the market apps, or getting timely updates is... you can still customize vanilla android to have whatever apps you want as stock without going the rediculous lengths to screw android over as they have. they dont even mention android in ANY of the backflip ads at all... and wheres the Dell Mini 5? i dont think anyone cares about this crappy Aero... it just simply isnt anything more than boring and way outdated before it is even released...
