Yeah...........nothing like jumping ship to an arrogant, shady and vindictive company like Verizon.
This isn't going to happen. IPhone is worldly and state of the art............CDMA is NOT WORLDLY and not quite as state of the art. No way is Apple going to redesign a portion of the IPhone to be CDMA compatible. Too expensive for a crap company like Verizon that has a boatload of their own models as is.
Verizon's service quality is great despite their business model/strategy/attitude. However, EVERYONE has heard complaints about Verizon from someone..........just as we've all heard them from at&t/Sprint/T-Mobile

Not to mention you can't talk and surf the web on Verizon's network, something Apple so proudly displays on their commercials being on AT&Ts network.

I will add:
The new iPhone (I think is call 4.0) will support both formats (Netwoks) GSM and CDMA 'cos It will be cheaper for the Co's to deal with them !
All I wish that by released time (bigining of 2011).....this new iPhone will be a 4G (LTE Tech better and faster that AT&T GSM Network), with a Video Call support and with the super fast Opera-Mini OS (multy-tasking and multy-touch screen).
I think is to much to ask....but only then I will buy my first Apple Product....others way I am not dropping my money to them.

well, despite that I rather go with Verizon than At&T, i guess it all depends, cuz At&t is been dropping my calls ALOT, and so far, all of the people that i know has no problem with verizon, and they love it, so is all depend on the people.

Frankly......Verizon has a more solid network in the U.S. regarding coverage in remote areas of virtually unpopulated towns BUT I had them, my neigbor has them as does his wife and a couple friends have them and IF people were to take time and actually ASK their friends/family about the specifics like dropped calls, failing of initiating calls and dead spots.........you will absolutely find that it totally averages out no matter who your provider is (T-mo, at&t, Verizon, Sprint).
Sprint simply separates themselves by providing the worst customer service in history rating bottom of the barrel year after year by consumers and JD Power and Assoc.
Too bad people don't wake up and smell the value of carriers. T-mobile gives unlimited calls to ANYWHERE for 49.99/month. That's the best deal plain and simple. Obviously those that are real losers and surf their phone internet morning, noon and night would benefit from Sprint's unlimited everything for 30 more but all in all...........most don't really care about unlim net on the phone.....except stupid kids under the age of 25.

I work in Casinos here in Las Vegas and like you should know......Casinos have Phone signal Blockers all over the properties for those who's bet on sports or wherever.....and Verizon Provide services to all the Casinos here and only with them service you can have a great reception Call inside the Casinos....... is like Coca-Cola or Pepsi: is one or is the another but never both; "A less on this world I live in".
Contrac agreements between Corp's...I guess is the future on Corporation War Reality.
To protect yourself from Verizon you should try the Unlimited Bussiness Plan or so......not many people know about it !!!

I know people are thinking why waste money building a CDMA iPhone, but have you'll forgotten that Apple came to Verizon first for the iPhone? So clearly that doesn't matter.
Secondly, Apple will make there money from the App Store, so while they will sell 20,000,000 iPhones on Verizon, those customers will also give them a constant flow of money by buying apps, this is why Apple would want to make a phone for Verizon. That's 80 million customers money that they could be getting.
They will make an iPhone once Verizon goes LTE, which should be 2011. It won't come any sooner.

So yea, I had tmobil and they sucked, they sucked even more when i had it, no service in my house, is not just a drop call, is NO SERVICE, i can't even GET a call. So yea, they are great with their plan, but what is so great with a plan when you can't even get a service under your own roof? despite that I'm the only one who is saying this, all the people i know who use tmobil or had tmobil had the same problem. like i said before, it all depends on the user, because you might not have the same problem i had, so therefore you like tmobil and hate at&t. but to me i rather have at&t than tmobil cuz of the past experience i had, and now i'm still looking forward to jump ship if verizon do get this deal.

I'm 36 and was more together at 18 than those in their early 20's now.
As for your switching back and forth during the Cingular days, a lot has changed and improved since then. at&t is no better than t-mobile and t-mobile hahttp://www.afterdawn.com/news/article.cfm/2010/04/06/verizon_confirms_they_want_the_iphone#postAndLogin1s dramatically improved since Deutsch Telekom bought them.

Yes, verizon is a terrible company, but they do have the best Data network and the best voice network in the US. AT&T is also a terrible company, but without the good network. All the others have terrible networks, and most are terrible companies, but we will ignore them for now because this story is about AT&T and Verizon.
Personally, I couldn't care less if Verizon gets the iPhone4GS (or whatever they call the next one). They already have the Droid...and this blows the iPhone 3GS out of the water. The iPhone 4GS might launch with some cool new feature, but it will be available as an android app or a root hack by the time you can buy a 4GS anyway...and I doubt apple will have flash support either.
