Halo: Reach leaked

Halo: Reach leaked
Just like its predecessors Halo 2 and Halo 3, Halo: Reach has been leaked this weekend, with modders at Game-Tut finding a way to download the game from Microsoft's own servers.

Microsoft has been hosting the full game online.

Only a few people were allowed to download the game, and each needed a special code.

Game-Tut cracked the security, and has made the files available via P2P, torrents and warez for the public as [JTAG] Halo Reach RF ISORip XBOX360-XB3.

Gamers have already uploaded videos showing off battles in the game's Firefight mode.

Microsoft's response (via Joystiq): "We are aware of claims being made regarding a security exploit related to Halo: Reach and are aggressively investigating the matter. We have no further details to share at this time."

I like postings of the EXACT file name... thanks... LOL

Unfortunately for them, all Blu-ray protections have been broken and BD rips can be found around the Internet, usually before the retail even hits shelves.

Sooooo...what stops MS from banning every XBox illegally playing a game before it's in stores?

that's why people have 2, one flashed and one not, use the flashed one for games offline and online for legit copy's.

One thing i don't understand is with the revenue that MS makes they still can not have their network secured, Break in's over the first gen xbox and once again someone stole a copy of halo. Where are these halo addicts going to stop hahaha

    *rolls eyes*

Ok...aside from the *OBVIOUS* problem of not being able to ban offline xboxes...

It wasn't too long ago that a bunch of people had their Xboxes banned for playing a game before it was released.

A neat trick would be for Xboxes to remember recent games played w/ a timestamp and if/when it DID get online, MS would check the backlog and go "OH! Bantime!"

Seriously folks all you have to do is adjust your consoles time ahead to after the release date. My box is modded but i had it done before MW2 came out and it wanted to update my console and all that jazz so i said hell no cuz i already knew about he ban wave. I need to get my stuff updated but i dont have the gear anymore. what to do? guess ill go and get another xbox, use it and then return it. insert evil laugh.
