Motorola Xoom coming on February 14th? Wi-Fi-only version coming soon, as well?
Phandroid has reported today that the Motorola Xoom tablet may be headed to Verizon on February 14th, much earlier than anticipated.

The company showed off the tablet at the CES event earlier this month, to high acclaim.

Motorola's Xoom will be the first tablet to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, which has been optimized for media tablets.

The powerful tablet will ship with a 10.1-inch display, 1280x800 resolution, a Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 32GB onboard memory (expendable via SD), a 5MP dual-LED flash standard camera and a 2MP front-side camera for video conferencing.

Furthermore, the tablet has a micro USB 2.0 port, HDMI-pout, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.

Battery life has been rated at 10 hours (peak) for video playback.

A 3G + Wi-Fi version will launch first through Verizon, with a 4G version coming later, and a Wi-Fi-only version expected for later in the year.

Why does everyone try to get a piece of someone else's action. Get off the bandwagon Motorola and just make your phones, shitty cable boxes and cable modems you jackasses!!

Who's the jackass Lissenup2? Motorola or you? I think the later in this case!

Eliminate the 3G and just come out with the 4G-WiFi and we are good. 4G is now and 3G is over at this point, I wouldn’t was my money on a 3G device in today’s market. Nice to see the break away from Bluetooth crap, and going back to WiFi compatibility. This looks pretty cool and with 4G wow! So is this marketed for a specific geographic market? Phandroid instead of Fandroid like Fat versus Phat??

I assume that is for the 4G and as a starting price which seems reasonable to me. There are 4G phones costing around $300 and that have less processor power and a much smaller screen.

    Thanks for the link Mrguss.

It's a good start. In the next few years these gadgets will plummet in price.

Its a lot easier being righteous than right.
