Saudi airline caught playing pirated copy of movie
TF has posted a picture today that shows a Saudi airline running a pirated Blu-ray copy of the movie "Killers" as its in-flight film.

The copy shows up as "Killers 2010 BDRiP AC3 XViD-ILOVE," clearly meaning the airline decided to roll with a pirated copy over the official content given by the studios.

It is likely the company has the license to play the film, but believed pirating the film was easier (no DRM), or just better quality.

There was no comment from the airline or the studio behind Killers.

It's probably easier for them to just hold digital copies instead of having to worry about swapping discs. That's just what I think, but I don't have any real information about it. Also, as far as I know, Killers doesn't come with a digital copy like some other Blu-Rays do so like the author said, it may have just been easier for them to pirate it than rip and convert it. If that's the case then I wouldn't worry too much about what copy they've used if they've already paid for the license although I'm sure there are some legal ramifications for doing what they did.

Their screens are probably not HDCP compliant; forcing them to use rips...sometimes they just use rips from torrent sites.

Hey, as long as they paid for it then who cares. I can't blame them and agree with the second comment about their screens not being HDCP compliant.
