There were no third-party victims. But it is a fact there was some kind of possible hacking attack.

On a side note ~ since Microsoft is probably the worst example of a company to use as having "perfectly secure software" why/how/could people believe the Xbox brand would be any different?

It should just be a matter of time for them to be affected as well. If not, then as childish as it is to say, then wouldn't that make the hackers "M$ fanboys" because they aren't going after all the "big name oppressive conglomerate corporations who strip/trample our rights" as they claim to be?
But anyway...the fact and point of the matter that needs to be understood (in what I said in my earlier post & here) is that no company is secure. Sony, Square-Enix, Codemasters, Lockheed Martin & recently Nintendo and the FBI have been hacked along with the Pentagon, Nasa, Major Banks and many many others too...people need to get over the whole "Sony" is the worst/has the worst security BS since EVERY company seems to be having the same issues.
Remember these hackers are going after YOUR data/information to do who knows what with...if you take out whatever company problems you may have with whatever big name company, then I sincerely ask how is what they are doing having YOUR back?
It's like they pulled a Jedi Mind Trick on the people who just don't want to get it...

first sony and then nintendo.seems like xbox360 sales will be a lot higher.since none of the info stolen from sony seemd to have been used the only people that would gain anything from the loss of sales (of ps3 & possibly nintendo)would be microsoft.

The Nintendo breach doesn't really matter I guess, since nobody plays Call of Duty on the Wii anyways.
Honestly, I'm not surprised no data was taken from Nintendo, there's nothing useful to take, lol. Okay okay, bad joke.... I don't know what you need to setup to shop the Nintendo online store.
