New blog is bent on 'exposing' LulzSec

New blog is bent on 'exposing' LulzSec
If you have been following AfterDawn for the past month, or broad technology news in general you have undoubtedly heard of the group LulzSec, responsible for multiple hacks on Sony, Sega, Cia.gov, a site for the U.S. Senate and countless others.

Over the past week, however, a group calling themselves "Web Ninjas" have posted a blog called LulzSec Exposed, with the group's main purpose being "exposing" the members of LulzSec.

So far, the group has posted numerous chatlogs from alleged LulzSec leaders and members and even "Doxed" five of them, posting their pictures, names, addresses, emails, and in one unfortunate guy's case, his social security number and IP address.

One 'exposed' member is a contributory journalist for The Huffington Post, Guardian UK and other large sites.

The hacking group did respond to the blog and practically laugh it off, saying:

Dear Internets,

> Herro! Recently some of you may have seen "LulzSec exposed" logs floating around. We'd like the time to say this: LOL. Those logs are primarily from a channel called #pure-elite, which is /not/ the LulzSec core chatting channel. #pure-elite is where we gather potential backup/subcrew research and development battle fleet members, i.e. we were using that channel only to recruit talent for side-operations.

Despite the fact that we're laughing heartily right now, we do take care of our subcrew, and as such the person who leaked those logs (m_nerva) has been completely hacked inside and out. We have all his online accounts, all his personal information, all the illegal things he's done on record. We destroyed him so hard that he sat there apologizing to us all night on IRC for what he did. His mother probably spanked him after we wrecked his home connection. Uh-oh, m_nerva!

Check the site if you are interested but be reminded there is really no proof to the claims or the denial from the group itself.

Welcome to hell. Now another group has basically started a mob war on the internet between cyber terrorists? Or basically eatups against realtime virtual MIT-couldbe's. Not wise dumbasses. That would be like me picking a fight with the latest and greatest Seal Team Alumni of 6 years. I might last 15 minutes and that's "IF" he let me see him coming.

Some of these 'ousted' idiots are uneducated edited for content by moderator looking to "score" that nut busting 15 minutes of fame story that's going to get them that Hollywood dream deal job of a life time. They were stupid, got drug along & now their out. BallSack already knew who they were. Move on.

No, I'll tune in to smell what's cooking, but despite how hard you try to tell me it's the finest beef on the grill, I damn sure know when it's cat.

    @LordRuss,
That last line kinda weirded me out lol

But I'm gonna keep their blog bookmarked to see how fast their site gets overthrown and the "ninjas'" info gets posted on it's front page.

lol yeah im not so sure that them creating a blog about LulzSec was a good idea...

At the moment im not sure what to think of LulzSec, on one hand they are causing financial damage and agreeably short term harm to the public, but when you look at the bigger picture, what rises from the ashes afterwards is normally a better place for us all surely... how many people already hacked these places before lulzsec and quietly without being noticed, after lulzsec they have no choice other than to harden security...

LulzSec, are what "appear" to be part new bread of hacktavists and personally their constant display of some morals doesn't make their activities right, but at the same time it doesn't make them completely wrong, be that a difference of option for many people....

But when the worlds got its self in such a mess due to decisions that were made to make people money and disregard the harm and hindrance caused to humanity as a result. LulzSec personally I think are just one expression of this and I cant see its a problem that's immediately going away and wont until something gives for the better or the worse.

I don't support, have been or are ever likely to be part of LulzSec or Annon but I can see what they are tying to stand for...maybe the method is far from perfect... but to anyone isn't it the end result that matters at the end of the day, its the reality we all have to live with...the worlds not a perfect place.

... And without trying to sound like im siding with them I will have it said, I would tip my hat in respect for the fact they are doing something. Whilst the rest of us sit here and do nothing and just complain about all that is wrong instead..!

    This is getting ugly.
I was wondering how long it was going to take exposing these renegades.

In jail people won't have the chance to hack anything except begging Bubba not to be ass-raped..

5 minutes of fame is short-lived, often ephemeral, media publicity or celebrity of an individual or phenomenon. The expression was coined by Andy Warhol, who said in 1968 that "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."

Wow. So many people talk edited for content by moderator about LuLzSec.. why? I don't expect to take your criticism of quantum theory seriously anytime soon, as you wouldn't know about that either.

If you don't understand what is happening then sit and observe, but to sit there and judge, and call people terrorists -- you are a edited for content by moderator.

Not talking edited for content by moderator as much as disagreeing with the method of madness.
Nobody likes the fact that Sony and other major corporations try to run the world.

Who are you talking to? You're another one of those damn kids with a Bluetooth that starts yammering away loud as hell & I think you're talking to me and then I look like I'm the edited for content by moderator when I start talking back.

The world really is starting to look like it's full of schizophrenics.

I laugh at all the edited for content by moderator who think LulzSec is making the internet a better place. Sure, if you edited for content by moderator dont like having net neutrality

Trite. To the point. Probably not going to be asked to the White House Christmas party, but what lacks in panache' he makes up for in balls.

Shame he couldn't deliver that edited for content by moderator sandwich up to the folks that need a bite of it. That's just one more problem with this anonymity thing. And yes, I mirror your sentiments Deprstju... There are some folks more shallow than puddles out there.

They seem to think that since the head of their edited for content by moderator isn't burning that they too mustn't be suffering from syphilis.

Meh...Don't think anything good will come from these morons getting their lulz...Just wait till the goverments respond and regulate the hell out of us all! Sure these pricks will still have their fun but like the Sony customers it will be us paying the price!

I've already been accused of breaching the sphincter muscle & having become the high colonic master for using too many $5 words & phrases. Doesn't a railroad spike in place of a scalpel account for something once in a while?

Interesting... Although one sided & a bit choppy (& my ignorance with SOCA), I'm guessing that British government officials have either bugged a house of a known BallSack operative or a victimized family of. That's where I got confused.

I have to go with "bugged the house of an operative" just for the mere fact, why bother bugging a victimized family? BallSack doesn't put a face on anything. So the Brits have to have literally found a member somewhere scurrying about & are collecting beau coup information.

"If" this is indeed true. Otherwise, it could be a hoax as well. This report is such a breach of protocol I would go as far as to call it treasonous in today's climate. Most governments want these guys caught so bad that they're allowing court ordered 'bugging' & 'those' agencies to do it. So to give out a hint that agencies are doing this & on a global forum? Somebody is going to get thumped...

Case in point... Didn't we (the US) just get a Governor thrown out of office (he resigned let's not split hairs here) for twittering his junk?

    Your honor, the prosecution rests...

If you create fear and terror, re: terrorism, in people and they are in fact terrified, that makes you a terrorist. No different than warmongering presidents, but still a terrorist nonetheless.

"Hi, I'm a dictionary. Have we met?"

THERE! I feel lots better now! lulzsec might be doing it for giggles but the question remains: Will it fade away or will they increase their hacking to the point where no one will be able to go online for fear of being hacked by these guys? (Hypothetically speaking here guys)

If you want to screw the man, then that's your choice. But when you screw the rest of us - your worse than the man. Proving someone's an arse, by being a bigger one is juvenile at best. I hope they are found and punished to the maximum extent of the law. Go after the executives or board, or the decision makers of these large corps - leave the innocent alone.

Wow Xenon, I think I'll have to take a moment to come up with an original comment for how much red it took to cover up that flurry of verbal assault.

And to think they say that the use of profanity has no place in today's society. Seems to me all that red pretty much proves your disdain for BallSack's actions at the moment.
