iPhone headed to T-Mobile, Sprint says report
According to Piper Jaffray analyst Chris Larsen, the upcoming iPhone 5 (whenever it comes out) will be released to Sprint and T-Mobile, as well, making it available on all four of the largest U.S. carriers.

This is the second time an analyst has claimed such, with one saying in May that an "iPhone 4S," (slightly updated iPhone 4) would hit the two carriers in time for the holidays.

Earlier this week, ChipHazard reported that Apple was testing its iPhone 5 on AT&T's networks and once all tests were passed, the phone would given to manufacturers to move into mass production.

That rumor coincides with the expected September launch for the device.

The smartphone, by all accounts, will have a thinner redesigned body, a dual-core processor and 8MP camera.

Hopefully so. iPhone with HSPA+ on T-Mobile would be pretty nice.

I think that would be a logical direction seeing the big 2 has had i-phone for a while now. Me being a Sprint customer, would be intrigued by the new I-phone. However, I can wait for a while after the mayhem of the roll-out.

Not quite in that way, but that is my concern with this merger. AT&T is only doing it to piggy-back T-mobile's existing towers and network. Granted the merge would give them the collective "best," I'm almost positive AT&T's overcrowded customer base is going to murder the speeds I can barely enjoy as is.

This also gives AT&T almost total monopoly over all the GSM market of the US. I just can't see how that would be good, and I can't understand how it's even being considered.
