FBI to arrest 15 alleged 'Anonymous' hackers

The FBI will have arrested 15 alleged 'Anonymous' hackers by the end of today, in a nationwide raid.

A few of the arrests took place in San Francisco, New Jersey and Florida, and warrants have been executed in NY and other states, say authorities.

Agents seized computers and other records.

The hacktivists have been linked in the past to attacks on the CIA, Sony, Fox News, the Arizona Department of Corrections, Booz Allen Hamilton and more.

Other than bringing to light some embarassing issues of the government, and the corporate controlled media, what real harm have they caused?

It's ironic the government puts hundreds of billions into the real criminals pockets, (wall street and the banks) but go after people that say or do things they don't like so fervently. Then again it's not ironic at all, just corrupt.

Most people couldn't care about the Government and what it is doing, unless it effects them.

This groups has released the details of many people's accounts which may have let other people miss use that information, this group may also have misused this information.

they run around more than happy to hand out other people's info yet whinge and bitch when their own info gets posted up on the net.

Anyway 14 or more are busted now, wonder what they'll say to the FBI, pretty funny seeing as this group thinks its 100% anonymous on the net but in real life still got picked up by the cops.

No, I'm not. I guess I'm saying I think its just as criminal to hide information and manipulate the public as it is to hack. Some dirty little secrets might have been uncovered, thats why so much money and resources will be used to catch them.

It's a double-edged sword. I believe in transparency in business and government, all for speaking up for those who need speaking up for. But everything I've seen dubbed as "Anonymous" has just been self-righteous and generally self-centered.

I have a problem with both sides of it all. Government and big business will always be corrupt, and it always sucks. But kicking and screaming and generally acting like a child, ruining any fun for anyone else behind a computer screen because you know a bit of code isn't really any better.

It hasn't helped me for these sites to go down, or for some idiots' emails and data to be released.
