iOS jailbreaker takes internship at Apple
iOS hacking star Nicholas Allegra (aka Comex) has taken an internship at Apple.

The hacker/developer is known for creating JailbreakMe 2 and 3, hacks that allow iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users to run homebrew apps on their devices.

Says Allegra:

It’s been really, really fun, but it’s also been a while and I’ve been getting bored. So, the week after next I will be starting an internship with Apple.

Allegra says he will likely be helping Apple tighten security now, which he called "kind of refreshing."

Keep your friends & family close, but keep your enemies even closer...

Good luck with that 'tightened security' idea...

    Traitor? Snitch?

Look, I hate to see one of the great ones switch to the other side, but can anyone really blame him?? This kid has more to think about in life than everyone else wanting a free, convenient way to unlock/jailbreak their phone.

Does anyone not really understand that at the end of the day, people that do all the great things for the community do it for the recognition, ...for their resume'?? Which eventually should lead to a payoff? If you as a person don't understand that, then you're out of the game. The whole idea of this (along with standing up for what's right and fair) is what drives innovation and the economy. Others will follow in his footsteps and, rest assured, we will all be able to jailbreak our phone still.

If apple wants to pay him to ruin their devices, why shouldn't he? Jailbreaking makes iOS better...jailbreaking is the only reason that I once considered buying an iOS device (and because google TV cost more than an xbox).

If apple wants to prevent jailbreaking, I say let them shoot themselves in the foot...as for their customers...I really couldn't care less about them. If they are willing to continue supporting Apple after this past year, then they deserve to get screwed over.

This is completely off topic but did you manage to secure any hp touchpads?

From what I have read from other posts, he knows a list of known holes for future jailbreaks. But of course now since he became a traitor, he will plug all those holes to impress his boss.

He could have take a job somewhere else. People act like he had no choice or something. He is classless.
