T-Mobile: Sorry guys, no iPhone 5 for us this year
T-Mobile’s Chief Marketing Officer Cole Broadman has noted today that there will be no iPhone 5 on the carrier, at least not this year.

At an internal company event the CMO is quoted as saying "we are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year."

There was no other word on why the carrier would not be getting the device, but the likely culprit is AT&T's pending purchase of the carrier for $39 billion.

Apple is expected to launch the device on October 15th around the globe including on Verizon, Sprint and AT&T in the States.

Whether you hate the iPhone or not, this is pretty horrible news for T-Mobile customers. They're already the smallest carrier and with them now about to be the only one lacking the most popular phone on the market, they're going to bleed subscribers like crazy this Fall and Winter. I guess if they lose enough subscribers, then it can help to make the buyout appear to be necessary by AT&T. I hate to say it but even if the deal gets shot down, T-Mobile will most likely not be around much longer. Probably will have to get sold off in pieces.
