Are these the Nexus Prime specs?

Are these the Nexus Prime specs?
Sources are posting the alleged specs of the upcoming Samsung Nexus Prime, set for launch on Tuesday.

If accurate, the device will be a Verizon exclusive and come with Ice Cream Sandwich, the first device to do so.

Additionally, the ultra-thin 9mm device will have a large 4.65-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display.

The phone will be powered by a Texas Instrument's 1.2GHz OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 and 1GB RAM.

32GB integrated storage is standard, as are dual cameras (1.3MP/5MP). The device will be LTE 4G capable and will include WiFi a/b/g/n and NFC (with Google Wallet already installed).

We will report on the event next week.

I really hope they call it nexus prime. I can't imagine Galaxy Nexus or anything else being very marketable. Maybe have the prime symbol on it as well.

I'm just waiting for a quad-core with a physical keyboard. I've seen some other phones I've been interested in but I just don't see making the jump from my single core (but these DZ's are snappy regardless) to a double when those quads are so close.

However, how will battery life be for a quad-core mobile device? Will phones finally start shipping with proper batteries? Or are we getting into those processors I was reading about from (?)Intel that are quad-cores on a single core or something like that (the ones in development that are supposed to be super small and efficient, read about them on here not long ago)?

The biggest thing for me is if ICS will actually be usable. I want android over iOS, but only if android closes the gap in stability.

I have the nexus one and I am a fan but I agree it is not 100% stable it crashes at least once a week. I am sure I could treat my phone better but I treat it no worse then some iPhone users I know. I was really looking forward to buying the next nexus phone hoping for more internal storage, faster CPU, and a more stable OS.

sadly I am not willing to go with a phone that dose not have a sim card so I guess I wait some more. Sure wish CDMA would include something like a sim card.

droid 2, i really like having a keyboard. Phone is always stuttering, apps always lock up, have to restart my phone at least once a day. I love the customization, and use google for a lot of things so the integration is great, but it annoys me a lot. I have an iPod touch too and everything is much smoother, but locked down.

Do you think Prime or 4s for a new phone DVDback? I'm not upset about not having a new form factor for the iPhone.

To be completely honest with you, I've always felt Motorola Android devices were buggy pieces of junk. I'm sure many will disagree, but that's my opinion. I have had an HTC since the G1 (Android 1.1) and have no complaints. If you have Verizon, then that is certainly not helping your case as Verizon defines "bloatware." My GF's new Droid 3 has literally a whole page of apps that are Verizon bloatware, and run practically all the time. Add that to the Moto bloat and you have a seriously bogged down device.

This Nexus Prime, however, looks fantastic. Large screen, nice specs, plain jane Android with no extra UI. The iPhone 4S (and all Apple devices) are absolutely solid devices, but you are locked down to the Apple ecosystem, something I will never be a part of. Sorry, I'd rather drag and drop my music then need to sync it with the bloated iTunes. The 4S is also nothing special if you already own an iPhone 4.

Thanks for the feedback. I had been thinking of getting a droid 3 but the reviews were horrible. And yea the bloatware is awful. From what I've read though the Prime won't have that on Verizon this time. I have massive hands so a bigger screen would probably help me out quite a bit, just need something to last me 2 years, which I know the iPhone will.

Other main concern is battery life b/c of LTE (and huge screen). I could always get a spare I suppose.

At least with the Prime, you can get a spare. No such luck with iPhone.

I made the mistake of getting an Evo 3D GSM, and have been anxiously waiting for some Senseless love. I'd heard from friends that Sense was slow, but I didn't think it'd feel *that* slow. It really is a big difference since I was "upgrading" from an N1 with Cyan 7.

As much as I've loved some Sense ROMs, yes, it is rather awful. And that's with dev's customizing it and trimming fat, I can't even imagine what a stock Sense device is like... Surely you could root the Evo3D and have Cyan7 on it as well?

The only stability issues I've ever faced have either been due to stock or unfinished/bad ROMs. I just don't believe in these phones without root, they're awesome regardless, but dear lord at battery life if you don't underclock and kill bloatware.

Really, if I was up for an upgrade as opposed to paying full price, I'd be all over this phone. Great display, full gig of RAM, dual cameras, and a still great processor; I'm sure that if my single core can hit 1.5 and run fantastic, a dual core at about that or even the native 1.2 would zip ridiculously. Just can't spend another $5-700 on a phone anytime soon, and with those quads right around the bend...

Samsung Nexus Prime is NOT a Verizon exclusive; remember its a nexus branded phone it will be available to all carriers very soon after release. (with GSM and CDMA just like the iPhone 4S)

Big question is are you rooted/romed or stock? if you are not romed yet, I would highly suggest you check out Liberty Rom. I have a Droid2Global, but with a simple zip flash it could be ported to the D2G. Honestly it seems like most android phones have quite a few problems with the stock builds. It is not the fault of Android as an OS but rather the manufactures and wireless carriers allowing the OEM to get away with buggy builds.

You could always grab a system info type app to check up on the running processes and see if anything is hogging resources. It may not be the phone itself, but it could be an app that is simply hogging resources. Some games like to run in the background to provide notifications and even bogs my phone down at time which has a slightly modified but better performing version of the same CPU as the D2. This is honestly what it sounds like to me. You have a hog on your system, and if that is the case even a switch to a high performance rom like CyanagonMod7 may not help you out.

Oh and last but not least, possibly look in to the Droid 2 Gingerbread Leak. Switching from Cyanagon Mod 7 Froyo base to CM7 GB leak also offered a nive performance boost and stability boost.

New rumors that 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display mentioned above is just about the only spec to make the final cut. The processor, however, is more likely to be a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos (that's right) with an accompanying dual-core PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics chip. That rear facing camera? Try 8 megapixels with a newly beefed up sensor. The handset should also ship with a girthy 2,050mAh battery fully capable of juicing this apparent LTE / CDMA / GSM Android monster.

On the contrary, the Nexus One and Nexus S were NOT on all carriers. It will be a dual-mode phone, but so are many other devices that are solely on Verizon.

The Verizon (BGR's leak) it make less sense, 'cos Samsung has never used a TI (Texas Instrument) chip, just NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and their own and the 5MP camera seemed too low for a flagship phone, especially from Samsung.....

I've tried out the GSII and the HTC Sensation. The sensation is a bigger phone, yet it looked smaller, and felt a LOT nicer in the hands. The GSII while really thin, looked and felt like a big slab. Hopefully with this curve design it might be easier to hold than the GSII, even with the larger screen. But those are some kick ass specs. I doubt they're going with the OMAP, Exynos has proven to be a much faster CPU, GPU wise the OMAP is slightly faster.

I've never had stability issues with official android releases...but the crummy GUI overlays all suck and all cause problems. The worst is probably HTC sync...the media player doesn't even work!

I am starting to think that companies put these GUI overlays onto their devices in order to force people to ROOT to delete them, and void their warranties in the process.

Get that thing rooted and load a custom ROM on it. Get rid of the carrier garbage, that's your problem.

But it's so easy to un-root and get S-ON again, therefore "reinstating" warranty. No more of a hassle than rooting in the first place (for me at least, DZ's took a while to get easy root so I had to type in all the adb code regardless).

Nexus Prime hits the FCC with AT&T and T-Mo radio-bands

    P.S.
2100mhz is Rx (receive) frequency. FCC only test Tx (transmit) frequency. Also there is mention of AWS, which is Tmo HSPA+ 4G.
