British MP targets violent games again

British MP targets violent games again
MP slams video games regulation.

Labour MP Keith Vaz has a history of opposition to the sale of video games depicting violence in the UK. In 2004, he claimed the killer of a 14 year old boy had been influenced by Manhunt, despite the fact that the victim himself was the one who owned the video game.

He also linked Counter Strike to race shootings in Sweden in 2010, and to shootings on U.S. campuses in 2007. This time, Vaz has linked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with the massacre in Norway last July.

"This House is reminded of the consequences of the ineffectual Pan European Game Information (Pegi) classification system for video games following the testimony of Anders Breivik about the tragic events in Norway in July 2011," Vaz' motion reads.

Mass-murderer Anders Behring Breivik has claimed that he used Modern Warfare to help him plot his July 2011 attacks in Norway.

Vaz is concerned that the Pegi classification system only assigns an age rating to a video game, and does not restrict ultra-violent content. Breivik was 32 years old when he carried out his attack in Norway.

Stop raising emotionally charged issues as a smokescreen to distract the media and voters from the real issues and spend you time assisting in the economic recovery. Tool.

Due to copyright issues I am sorry to say I am no longer Batman : (

Great, now owning a violent video game leaves you prone to becoming the 'victim' of violence?

Is there a lawyer in the house!?! Seriously! I'm not kidding here! I want to get everybody together here, right now... We can start a movement/petition/class action suit against the proper organizations (I mean all of them) & sue all the bastards for bringing this kind of shit to light.

Remember who told you about this... We'll call it something like, "Prohibition against asinine legislation". Its premise will be to imprison those that are driving individuals to do harmful crimes against humanity after reading about preposterous, non substantiated, non quantifiable or just plain stupid laws.

I really think we have something here folks. Don't piss this one away! I'm telling you! We could apply it to ACTA & similar legislation! We could save countries billions with this. Just think of the weight off of tax payers backs!

Mull it over... you know it could work. F*k with their own rules for once. Seeing as the governing body is pissing our money away as it is, let's let the people piss some of our own to our liking for once... RIGHT!?!

The Norway psycho also had a bible...might as well ban those first since the bible has led to more killings than anyone might attempt to link to all the games ever made. Maybe ban reading and writing too...and speaking as well. Better yet...ban the governments that create the wars as well as the sociological conditions that caused the Norway attacks.
