windows 7 pro cost $450 in Australia on release, online D/l.
windows 7 pro cost $130 in USA on release, online D/l.

I wonder how expensive Microsoft will make windows 8 for Australia .
Its got nothing to do with "Postage and handling",
it was all download and they dont allow Australian credit cards on the US server for purchase.

Im gonna wait for the first service pack...
then buy it from an american friend to send to me.
    $130-$150 versus $450-$550 .... yh .. US version it is :)

If it's broken..... fix it or .... nah just fix it.

The ridiculous pricing is exactly why I pirate M$ products. Even the ones I don't want; I find friends (and even random people) to give them to.

    Screw M$.
