Samsung shows off world's first Windows Phone 8 device
Today, Samsung unveiled the world's first Windows Phone 8 device, the ATIV S.

The device has a large 4.8-inch HD SuperAMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 2. The phone has an extremely thin 8.7mm brushed aluminum chassis, as well.

Inside, there is a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, dual cameras 1.9/8MP, 16/32GB internal storage and a microSD slot with expansion for up to 32GB more.

Already expected to have good battery life due to the streamlined nature of the OS, the phone should have great life thanks to a 2300mAh battery.

I'm confused how Samsung was able to release this and innovate without copying from Crapple?

    No info? why even mention?

I think would be great if windows phones (microsoft) invested on pre paid option to go against GNex($350 unlocked)... I probably would think about, I like the hardware on this, is like WP just got GS2+/-

    NFC, LTE, GSM/CDMA(for USA)?

With a proper price point, this phone could be a hit.

Hopefully Microsoft pushes the platform right.

Hey! Is that a Rectangle with round corners, I see?

Apple might sue MS for this.

APPLE!!! Oh shite... Sorry folks... I'm still in shock from the court case results...

Of course Samsung does Research & development, I'm sure Apple said they did that too during the heari... Oh that's right... They steal it from foreign universities & claim it as their own! I almost forgot. Another symptom of shock...

Treatment for shock - keep warm, lie down, if conscious drink some water (not lying down, don't be stupid)

Looks more solidly built than most of their Android devices thanks to that nice looking aluminum casing. Wonder if MS will be able to make some marketshare gains later this year.

So If we really get down to it we see what samesung has really done. Took to older phones the s2 (the look) and the note (procssor) with a few little changes and the os change Presto a good way to make more money with out having to fork out alot to make the phone as the 2 are already made and just stick windows * mobile on it. Samsung is good.
