Nintendo to announce Wii U price at 3am
Nintendo has confirmed it will reveal the price (for Japan) and final specs of the upcoming Wii U console at 3:00 am EST.

Later in the day, at 10am, the company will have a larger press event in NYC, where they are expected to reveal the price for the North American market.

The company is also expected to show off a few launch titles, including a number of 1st party titles like Mario or Zelda.

Nintendo's upcoming console is small at 1.8 inches high, 10.5 inches deep and 6.8 inches long and is powered by an IBM Power-based multi-core processor and an AMD Radeon-based High Definition GPU.

The biggest selling point is the Wii U GamePad controller, which is a 6.2-inch tablet with full gaming controls, a camera, NFC and more.

Can we get a StarFox? Shoot, I'd buy a WiiU if you put Megaman Legends 3 on it.

    Quote:Japanese Wii U release date: 8 December.

Basic set will be 26,250 yen (£209), and the premium is 31,500 yen (£251).
Quote:The Pro Wii U game pad, which looks like a conventional controller will retail at 13,440 yen. £105. So far the only known difference is color and memory. Basic has White console with 8GB, Premium has Black console with 32GB. Correction the Basic bundle does NOT come with a game-pad and the Premium does.

Which leaves to question: Who would bother buying the basic if its nothing but a plain Wii with updated graphics? Heck for that matter for the price of the gamepad, who would even bother buying one?

What I found interesting is how they are going to sell a wiimote, nunchuk and sensor bar as a set if you don't already own them. Looks like another way to cut down on the price of the console and in a way makes it seem like if you buy the U, you can shitcan your old wii since it's pretty much useless.

Looks like it'll launch in Japan on December 8th. The only specs given were that it will have 2 gb of ram. I already knew this and figured it would need it to feed the additional 2 screens on the gamepads. I guess we'll see if developers will take advantage of this for games that don't utilize the gamepad screen/s. I doubt the US press conference will reveal any real specs if the NOJ didn't.

A very crappy blog, with very crappy ability to translate, very late at night tired as hell. Turns out it was the original Wii control/nunchuck it did not pack with; I did the best I could with what little resources there were at the time of the announcement. Next time I'll be sure to write at top "Take with grain of salt", nobody else was posting this here at this time.
