Fox finally cuts deal to sell and rent content via Google, YouTube
Earlier this year, News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch infamously called Google a "piracy leader."

It appears now that he has gotten over it, as the company's 20th Century Fox studio has signed a deal with Google and YouTube to sell and rent movies.

Google now has agreements with all of the major Hollywood studios, placing it on the same level as rivals Amazon and Apple.

With the new deal, Fox is also slashing the prices of new releases and offering them earlier than physical DVDs/Blu-rays.

The new move follows Google's focus on removing well known piracy outlets from search results.

"The new move follows Google's focus on removing well known piracy outlets from search results"..........Geez, I guess Google thinks we don't know about, or how to use other search engines?

For that matter, if you perform the proper kind of search, very few results actually missing. Google deprecated a lot of results that weren't actually removed; a specific-enough search easily takes care of that.
