Rockstar Games 'considering' PC and Wii U versions of GTA V

Rockstar Games 'considering' PC and Wii U versions of GTA V
Grand Theft Auto V, set for release during the Spring of next year, is a PS3 and Xbox 360 exclusive, at least at launch.

Today, a Rockstar Games exec has stated that the developer is at least considering Wii U and PC versions of the game, much to the delight of fans of the different platforms.

Added Rockstar Vice President Dan Houser: "We are a third-party publisher. We're not Nintendo, we're not Sony, we're not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there's the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market.

Some other people talk about the limitations of the [current] hardware. We don't feel there are that many limitations. We feel we can do some very impressive stuff and do it for a large audience. This felt like the way."

For now, PC users will have to wait while the publisher considers porting the game.

If the screenshots I've seen so far are any indication, they are smashing their heads against some very serious limitations. Heck, if the draw distance of GTA4 on 360/PS3 is any indication, they were having issues way back then.

I would love to see what they do with a Wii U version of the game... GTA Chinatown Wars was very fun on the DS with the added touchscreen features in comparison to the PSP version. Hopefully the graphics will be on par with everything else though.

Hell, they're at the point now where there near their limitations on the current systems as it is, so this is no surprise. Guess it's one final hurrah for these current systems, no?

Maybe, or maybe it will be just another thing to further illustrate that the next generation should have been released 1-2 years ago. I do know that if it does not come to PC then I simply won't get it, in spite of owning a PS3. As far as I'm concerned, GT5 was the last hurrah of the PS3...Skyrim is probably the last hurrah of the 360 if only because it was about 50 nails in the PS3 coffin.

i'm so sick of PC users getting shafted on some really good games for the sake of fake protection offered by consoles.
