'Black Ops 2' sees 11 million units sold in first week
It appears fans of the franchise are still buying in droves.

According to VGC, sales of Black Ops 2 reached 11.22 million units in its first week, lower than its predecessor but still a spectacular showing.

Modern Warfare 3, released last year, sold 13.45 million copies in its first week.

The game also brought in $500 million in sales in its first 24 hours, a figure that eclipsed Halo 4's large $220 million start just a week earlier.

There had been worry from the industry that gamers would tire of the multi-billion dollar franchise.

Not amazed........C.O.D. players are such simpletons. My fiancee's brother included. Non-thinkers that eek their way through life and have little or no depth.

They are boring repeats of the previous releases each time. Same playability, same moves, same map styles. Black Ops 2 has field that's big square with buildings in it. Nothing different.

Remember everyone when EA said that Black Ops 2 was going to be "revolutionary" after extensive complaints from fans and consumers about the milled out games being the same but with different maps????????????????

EA assured everyone it would be totally different but they F'ing lied. No wonder EA is ranked as most hated company in U.S. For GOD's sake.....it still uses the Quake 4 engine..........Holy crap!!!!! That's bad!
