The new Nokia Lumia phone will have specs similar to the recently launched Lumia 920.
Microsoft will allegedly back the device heavily, providing marketing support.
It will be considered a flagship for the carrier, meaning it will be given equal floorspace to its iOS and Android brethren.
Nokia and Verizon declined comment.
