Japan to be first with 4K TV broadcast starting in 2014
The Japanese government will be the first to launch a 4K TV broadcast.

By July 2014, the broadcast should be live, two years ahead of the country's own accelerated schedule.

The government says the broadcast will help to build demand for Ultra HD televisions in the nation. The "service will begin from communications satellites, followed by satellite broadcasting and ground digital broadcasting," reports Reuters.

Sony, Sharp, LG and Samsung offer 4K TVs, however the prices are high and they are somewhat useless since there is minuscule amounts of 4K content available.

If all goes to schedule, the nation will be able to broadcast the final game of the 2014 World Cup in 4K, which would be incredible.

instead of spending money to fix what the earthquake did and focus more on the people still living without homes and other stuff these morons go with useless stuff they can do without. Japan needs to get their priorities straight. No wonder the country is going down the toilet.

Also, Japan is still helping Victims of the earthquake, they still need jobs, like building new TV's.

I though that 4K only worked with a broadband connection..

you did not get it, japanese have always come back with a bang and they will. at least, they are not warmongers like americans, and they do not send people to jail or impose heavy fine for unlocking a phone, or they do not try to patent common human gesture.

LOL stop talking like you know. I live here so I know more about it than you. And NO the money given to them by most charities has gone and not being given to the people. Even the Japanese people know about this but the government is hush hush about it. So people do some research before talking crap.
All that spew you just spat out makes no sense.

LOL you think japan is so great compared to america yeh ok tell that to all them rape mangas/anime. insest porno videos, dudes getting off at video taping school girls underwear with cell phones and police officials doing shit like this and then getting a slap on the wrist. While at the same time if u get busted downloading being given a 2 year sentence in jail and fined 2 million yen.

yeh they are soooo much better than america LOL.

Your argument has no value when it comes to speaking about the earthquake dissaster. I don't even know why u even brought up the things above > <
