Xbox One won't record all achievements automatically
Despite a Microsoft rep indicating that the Xbox One console will record all achievements automatically, that won't be the case.

An Xbox Australia representative had said that the new generation Xbox console would automatically record the moment a player unlocks all achievements, but that has been denied by Microsoft director of product planning Albert Penello.

"It won't be automatic for every Achievement. It's a feature that developers can unlock for achievements, OR, for instance, have hidden in the game for doing something cool or discovering something hidden," Penello said on NeoGaf. "Basically, we allow developers access to Game DVR and they can put conditions on an automatic recording. But not every Achievement will automatically be recorded."

The Xbox One Game DVR feature will record footage of the game in the background, which players can later share Online. At launch, sharing will be limited to uploading to Xbox Live, but support for social services like Facebook will come after.

what a piece of crap this thing is. I had high hopes for the next XB after my last one .I had to replace 3 times. I assumed they would fix everything and offer a more tight and more buttoned down console next gen. This thing has been a PR disaster and weak specs.
    So disappointed.
I'll get it but now i'm just going to get it later and see if they fix the crap that just seems like they shouldn't have issues with...but do. And to see if they really hold their word that they are not going to follow DRM, Kinect constant, and online renewals. If after a year none of those thing pop back up I'll get the XBOne. So far they sound like they are saving face with B.S. back peddling and just half-assing everything else

Shoot...after a year you will be able to build a more capable gaming PC for the same money and then you never have to worry about all that crap. AFAIK, the only reason to buy a console is exclusives...and with x64 processors in the new generation, it might actually be possible to load xbox/playstation operating systems from grub.

I said they are trying to kill PC gaming by making a console that is built like a gaming rig (a weak assed one) but UNLIKE a real PC you can't install cracked games without DRM. next they'll try to close down exclusivity on games and convince developers NOT to make PC versions. And I think the draw to Devs with be the games can't be cracked on consoles.
