Xbox One reaches 2 million units sold in first 18 days
According to XBL head Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, the Xbox One has already reached the 2 million units sold milestone.

The company says the pace of sales is "record setting" for Xbox since its launch on November 22nd.

Among the other milestones:

Over 83 million hours in games, TV, and apps on Xbox One since the system launched
39 million Xbox One achievements unlocked
595 million total Gamerscore achieved on Xbox One
At peak demand, customers were ordering the Xbox One console at over 1000 units per minute on Amazon.com

"We continue to be humbled and overwhelmed by the positive response from our fans. We are thrilled to see sales of Xbox One on a record-setting pace, with over 2 million Xbox One consoles in homes around the world. Demand is exceeding supply in our 13 launch markets and Xbox One is sold out at most retailers. We're also particularly excited to see consumers engaging in a wide range of games and entertainment experiences on the platform, with more than 1 million paid transactions* on Xbox Live to date," added Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of strategy and marketing, Xbox.

I'm sure the head set feature works on the PS4 unlike the Bone

I'll pick up an Xbone when they come out with a Gears of War game. I saw BF4 on there and it had worse issues than the PS4.

To top it off BF4 and COD:Ghosts are in 720p on the xbone and 1080p on the PS4... Not a good start when cross-platformers show such a marked difference.

...and yet by most accounts BF4 looks either exactly the same or slightly sharper & better (it actually scales up 720p to 1080p) on Xbox One.
Which just goes to show how silly the chest beating over spec can be.

What surprises me most about the new consoles is how come neither of them seem able (at this stage at least) to easily delver games @ 1080p/60.
Both seem to have framer-rate issues @ 1080p.

I'll end up with both (again) but it seems silly to me to be in on the 1st wave paying the highest prices & when the game development is so obviously immature.

I know they scale it Interestx. But I can sure tell the difference between 720p and 1080p.

Framerates will improve over time on both machines.

Some future games on xbone will be in 900p I've heard. I'm sure their exclusives will look good anyway.

I think there is a marked and obvious difference in specs, programming and even philosophy this time around Interestx with the PS4 trumping the Xbone. (I suppose if the Kinect experience is really important to you...) We'll just have to agree to disagree here... sorry if I've seemed to have lost my objectivity mate.

I agree about the "first-wave" stuff but can't see prices coming down much for a while.

I don't own either machine btw.
