Walmart offering discount on Titanfall Xbox One bundle
Walmart has begun offering a nice $50 discount on the new Titanfall Xbox One bundle, selling the console for $450.

The deal is available both online and in-store, although it has sold out online in quick order.

Walmart has also made the standard console available for the same price, if you aren't a fan of Titanfall and multiplayer mech fighting.

By itself, Titanfall sells for $60, making the $450 deal a nice discount for those looking to get the console.

Check it here.

Only because it's not quite as bad as the XBone. Plus, MicroSquish's marketing department is apparently run by paint huffers, glue sniffers, and other brain-damaged maniacs.

To be blunt, the PS4 has almost identical specs to the XBone. It's ALL marketing, whether or not the camera is optional, amount/type of RAM, and exclusive titles. Very little else distinguishes the two consoles.

Yes the PS4 benches slightly faster at some things than the XBone but generally not glaringly so; I'm not really arguing that it doesn't come out a little ahead of the XBone, I'm arguing agains that either console is "very good for great value". You can buy a reasonably solid mid-range gaming PC (or, perhaps, the upcoming Valve console/PC) for the same amount of money, or even less, and that's quite damning in my eyes. Additionally, while you lose some exclusive titels, you then gain access to the vast library of PC games and apps, as well as the flexibility to upgrade your system incrementally. Try that with an XBone or PS4, beyond perhaps adding more storage! Even the Valve console will let you change hardware and software at will.

Furthermore, both consoles have lost focus on the main strength of consoles: GAMES. I don't want my freaking gaming console to be the center of my entertainment system, and all attempts otherwise merely weaken them further while pissing me off. Every new "feature" impacts optimization for games negatively.
