Windows Phone 8.1 gets a native file manager

Windows Phone 8.1 gets a native file manager
After unveiling the app last month, Microsoft has launched a native file manager application for Windows Phone 8.1.

Dubbed "Files," the app is one of just many file managers and video editing apps expected to hit the operating system now that 8.1 allows for them.

The free app has the following feature set:

Access files stored on your phone and SD card
Browse, search and launch files
Easily share one file or multiple files
Create folders to organize your files
Copy, move, rename and delete files

Files is a much needed app for regular Windows Phone users.

This is just a very basic form of Explorer is it not...didn't W8 have a native Explorer already??

I have to admit, I've never used W8 and really know next to nothing about it, but did it not have a way to manipulate files already? If not...wow, did MS ever F-up on THAT one.
