Get ready for a really filthy looking PS4. :P

Is "white colorway" a reference to the black stripe? I googled this and could not find a satisfactory answer.

Its a lot easier being righteous than right.

I never understood the big deal about buying any type of electronic equipment in multiple colors. So long as the thing works as intended, who gives a crap what color it is. You want your equipment to be different? I'm sure you could customize it with decals or something with whatever you want.

Just keep it clean, key & prime it properly, spray several nice & thin coats & take the time to rub down well between (I usually end up leaving ultra fine grit paper for a denim cloth to effectively polish the paint for that nice even deep shine).
    Works a treat.

It's the fact that some will pay extra that gets me, looney or what?
It remains to be seen if this one will be more costly.

Even the a/v manufacturers are or at least were at it.
Onkyo wanted £100 ($169/€125) extra for a black version of the receiver I bought as opposed to the supposedly 'standard' silver one.
I just waited until it went on sale (surprise surprise too few takers) & got it for less than the price of the silver version.

Interesting that 500gb stayed the same, I wonder who'll be 1st to shift to 1tb (or 2tb?) internal on their sku?

Colorway sounds like some kind of modular gimmick, may hap the panels can be replaced with a color of ones own choosing or a color of Sony's choosing. it could be sold in either a panel replacement kit, or as part of the console.

Is colorway really that difficult of a word to understand?

    col·or·way
    ˈkələrˌwā/
    noun
any of a range of combinations of colors in which a style or design is available.

Yep, that's what came up in the google search smarty. Why I referenced the black stripe duh. White and black... get it? Except I have a pretty good vocab and don't recall this particular term's everyday use... ever. I considered it might have been a proprietary process and/or branding like Colorbond. Perhaps even a professional term.

Sounds it's trendy now like 'bespoke' or the inappropriate use of 'sartorial' in women's fashion.

    Thanks for taking an interest.

Well you may not have been familiar with it, but I have heard it many times in reference to cell phones and other electronics.

I've seen & heard it before but it's just empty flannel to tart up a description really.

A reference to the stripe then. So I was right after all.

People want what they want, why is it any of your concern? Also, it's the same price once you figure in the Destiny game.

I could care less what other people want. I'm just saying I don't see the point in paying a premium for color difference. If you can't get the white one without doing the Destiny bundle that means you are paying a premium for it. Not everyone would care to have that game.

Without the game AND the 30 day free script it wouldn't cost those few dollars more. However, anyone could just ebay or amazon the game and recoup the small extra money spent, easily, and still have the 30 day free script.

I do not see your reason for argument here except it just boils down to you simply hate being "pulled" into paying a "premium" price for something which you feel is useless.

Maybe he just wants the choice to buy the white colorway without the extra palava.
