You can now get on-demand Showtime with discounted subscription through Hulu Plus
Hulu has announced this week that they are partnering with Showtime to offer the company's new standalone streaming service at a discount as long as you are a Hulu monthly subscriber.

Hulu Plus costs $7.99 per month and Showtime will cost you just $8.99, an 18 percent discount off the $10.99 it will cost as a standalone product.

Showtime offers some popular original content like Homeland, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex and older library hits like Dexter and Nurse Jackie, and subscribers will not be inundated with ads.

It is unclear when the partnership will officially start, but you can get more info right from the source here.

It seems with all of these stand alone subscriptions, it might end up costing as much as a cable or satellite account.

Perhaps you're right. CBS All Access is 5.99/month.

Most people would likely opt for the 3 majors plus Fox, WGN. No way WGN would be the same price but let's say it is.

That is 30 bucks right there. Add maybe FX, SyFy, TNT, TBS and Animal Planet and that's 30 more totalling 60. Figure in Hulu and Netflix subscriptions for an extra 16 (8 each) and you're at 76/month. For an extra 40 you can get everything, though 40 is a lot.

However, this allows for creatively packaging your viewing interests.

Screw the major 3 and stick with Hulu Plus and Netflix for 16/month

    That covers the networks.

Then use couchtuner.eu for everything else. 16/month On-Demand watching.

    No DVR needed.
