How to take a screenshot with iOS and Android
Screenshots are a versatile tool that have been a significant part of every operating system at least ever since the Print Screen (PrtScr) button was invented. Obviously mobile operating systems are no different, and you can take a screen grab on all of them.

Taking a capture of your mobile game highscore or error message on an app is as easy as one-two-three, but you don't always remember how it's done if you haven't used it in a while or perhaps switched the phone recently.

So lets go through the most common ways to take a screenshot on each platform.

iPhone and iPad
  1. Press and hold power button
  2. While holding power button, quickly and simultaneously press home button, and release all buttons
  3. Screen flashes and the screenshot has been taken
  4. You can find screenshots from the Photos app by pressing Albums and Screenshots

Android option #1 (including Samsung Galaxy devices)
  1. Press and hold power button
  2. While holding power button, quickly and simultaneously press home button, and release all buttons
  3. Screen flashes and screenshot has been captured
  4. You can find screenshots from the Gallery app by selecting My Files (or with Photos app under Screenshots)

Android option #2 (including LG devices)
  1. Press and hold power button
  2. While holding power button, quickly and simultaneously press volume down button (in some devices volume up), and release all buttons
  3. Screen flashes and the capture has been successful
  4. You can find screenshots from Gallery app (or Photos app) under Screenshots

Android Option #3 (including OnePlus 3)
  1. Press and hold power button
  2. A menu appears from which you can select Screenshot
  3. The screen flashes and the screenshot has been taken
  4. Find the screenshots from Photos app under the album Screenshots

In Android devices button shortcuts and screenshot features may vary completely. In some rare cases instead of volume down you'll have to press volume up button with power button.

Also some phones have features that allow taking screenshots without pressing any buttons. This might be a three-finger swipe, a wave gesture or tapping the glass, read the manual or find the options from Settings.

If your device has a different type of method for taking screenshots, please let us, and others, know in the comments!
