Autoplay is a feature that enables a DVD-Video to begin playing automatically after being placed in a stand-alone player (which is a given) or a DVD drive for a computer. With regard to Autoplay on a computer, it also refers to a set instruction to run a certain application or installation directly from a CD or DVD disc once it is inserted. However, when speaking strictly of DVD-Video, Autoplay is used to launch your selected DVD playing software automatically when a DVD-Video disc is inserted.
Autoplay is a function that can be disabled usually.
