Interlaced Frame based video consists of two distinct fields; a top Field that includes every other line starting with the top line of the frame, and a bottom field that contains the opposite lines. Either the top or bottom field is from an earlier moment in time than the other. This is the dominant field. Field dominance must be consistent throughout a video stream.
Bottom Field First, or BFF, indicates that the bottom field is displayed before the top.
