DiMA

DiMA stands for the Digital Media Association. The DiMA is a trade organization originally founded in 1998, that covers the online audio and video industries. The group covers complex policies and issues surrounding the sectors and is recognized as the national association that best understands issues like copyright, competition and consumer rights. It promotes the group and development of the enterprises it covers.

DiMA is made up of member companies that develop the system that make online media progress, such as streaming solutions or system to deliver digital content and also offer services and products to the consumer and business sectors. DiMA advocates before regulars on behalf of its member companies, shape international treaties and generally promote the industries. One of DiMA's biggest roles in negotiating royalties for member companies.

DiMA strives to prevent consumers' interest and consumption of digital entertainment from being ruined by outdated laws and/or regulations. The seven founding companies back in 1998 believed that webcasters, technology companies and online music and video retailers needed a stable legal environment in which to build ideas into industries, and inventions into profits.
