'Wolverine' is year's top selling Blu-ray
The Fox blockbuster X-Men Origins: Wolverine has quietly become the year's top selling Blu-ray release, surpassing 007: Quantum of Solace in just four weeks.

Fox would not give exact figures but industry sources and analysts have put the movie at about 850,000-900,000 units sold.

“The resounding success of Wolverine on Blu-ray reveals that the consumer still craves their movies the best way possible,”
said Fox executive VP of marketing Mary Daily.

The DEG (Digital Entertainment Group) said the Blu-ray sales accounted for about 30 percent of all Wolverine physical media sales, a giant figure.

Fox also notes that Wolverine has been the top cable VOD title for most of October.

There's probably going to be an article claiming that the Blu-Ray sales would have been higher if the working-release of the movies was not leaked on the net before the movies release date in theaters.

Bring back HDDVD.Why? there is no point of having 2 high def formats.

I have a copy of it, and I'm pretty happy with the quality. It was a gift, but I'm not sure I would buy it myself.

I don't know about anyone else but though I enjoyed this movie...............the X-men franchise was way better. I mean, this wasn't horrible but it wasn't FANTASTICS either but nothing compared to the originals. Just not nearly as entertaining.

    LOL QFT!!!

Remember how they decried that pirates ruined the movie and the industry would never recover? Hmmmm.

I guess this just proves, pirating a movie is not all that bad. If anything the buzz from it (good & bad) helped it both in theaters and video.

It wasn't a bad film.. seen much better, but these days with the formula recipe cgi movies at least this one had a bit of a story that was relevant to the rest of the film.

so how many it sell on BR?.. 10 maybe??

hehehehe.. edit for giggles.. BR - this is the AGE of the train (that's why it's 3 hours late again.. 1940's rolling stock) showing my age now.. hehehehehehehehehe
