Apple starts iTunes '12 days of Christmas' promotion
Apple has announced that starting on December 26th they will be giving away a free song or popular application via iTunes, starting a "12 days of Christmas" promotion.

If you are a fan of free things and use iTunes, check back daily, says Apple.

    All this article says to me is basically they will still limit what you can get and they will just be promoting garbage from the most popular artists or developers who make them money (or pay them the most for 'special favor') instead of the little indie groups also getting exposure with the opportunity of having their track downloaded by someone who would not have otherwise because they have never heard of them. How nice. If you really are going to be generous why not let people get 1 song or 1 app of their choice from among everything available (or within a certain price range).

    If they realy wanted to be nice, they would fix iTunes so that it does not crash windows computers.

    The link takes you to a .eu site. Try changing that to .com and it takes you to a .co.uk site. Is the promotion only for Europe? Can US residents participate?
