Fujitsu to sue Apple over 'iPad' name rights?
According to the NYTimes, Fujitsu will be suing Apple over the rights to the name iPad.

In 2002, Fujitsu released a real-time, portable inventory-management device called the "iPAD," which was last updated in 2006.

The iPAD runs with a "PXA 270 processor with Microsoft Windows CE .NET 5.0, together with a 802.11 b/g radio and Bluetooth v1.2." Companies such as Current Directions still advertise the sale of the product.

PCMag says there is one problem: "The Fujitsu iPAD trademark stalled because of an earlier filing by another company, Mag-Tech. Fujitsu let its application lapse, but revived its application. Apple has asked for more time to fight the application."

Just putting an "i" in front of a word, e.g. iword shouldn't be a allowed a copyright, as was the case of anyhow, which was used in common everyday conversation, until a cigarette company had it copyrighted but people still used it, so a whole sentence had to be copyrighted. You may be the first to see my iword.

All of this Copyright nonsense is just another way for these greedy companies to make an extra buck. They're basically Patent Trolls.

what a pointless bunch these companies are.. Fujitsu never even registered the name because somebody else had it before tham.. hahahahaha

This is like me sueing a writer who has the same name as me for using my name on their books (which I could do as I have exactly the same name as a famous author, and I'm 3 years older) .. but I would expect it go get laughed right out of court..

It's time the courts started taking a very firm line with these big business time wasting lawyers.. like how about a $100 million fine for being pointless bastards and wasting everybodys time and trouble.

Foamy is awesome and his talents for that work rather well with the uber music store nazi. But then again he's more sane snob than nazi. LOL

Until lobbying is a hanging offense I choose anarchy!
Ah modern gaming its like modern film only the watering down of fiction and characters is replaced with shallow and watered down mechanics, gimmicks and shiny-er "people".

I do not care as long as Apple lower the price of its iPad. I may get one.

I prefer to wonder around Gindart
