Hotmail users missing their emails

Hotmail users missing their emails
Microsoft has been bombarded with reports to start the new year, each claiming that their old Hotmail messages have disappeared.

Some of the other reports claim that their inboxes have been automatically moved to the "deleted mail" folder, without user consent.

Windows Live support has responded by saying they are aware of the issue, and are currently working on a fix.

Hotmail/Live is the most used email service in the world, with 360 million users.

"At this point it appears to be a limited issue, and Microsoft is working with individual users who are impacted. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers," says Microsoft spokeswoman Catherine Brooker.

Hotmail is one of the worst free email servers out there. Plus, they delete everything you have and deactivate your account if you don't log in for 30 days.

I stick with yahoo and gmail

Was/is xbox-live tied to hotmail normally then? I know I have G-mail tied to my Windows-live account, and my mate has HIS G-mail for xbox-live too.

Had my hotmail account for many, many years... Got a large filesize storage quota, and have had users send me MP3's (mostly bands doing promo spots for my weekly online radio show). Still got messages in my inbox from 8 and 9 years ago too (reminds me, I need to go weed those messages out!) Their mailing list and contacts settings are nice especially when I need to email a bunch of record labels at once to let them know what's going on... Yeah, I kinda dig hotmail... Service is slow at times, but very reliable. Has been that way for years... Did I say that already?
